Midlothian Coat of Arms

The Coat of Arms for Midlothian Council.

Or; a lion rampant vert, armed and langued gules, surmounted by a fess azure charged with three suns in splendour or coronet - area council. Supporters - dexter, the figure of a coal miner carrying in his dexter hand a miner's lamp, proper, and, sinister, the figure of a Lowland farmer around 1800, vested gery, waistband gules and a Lowland Scots bonnet azure, holding in his sinister hand a sickle proper.

The coat of arms is a 'sre-grant's of the pre 1996 Midlothian District Council'ss and so a 'sre-re-grant's of the pre 1975 Midlothian County Council'ss. The supporters are new.
