The UK is rich in history and this unusual Victorian terrace dates from the 1890's. In 1890’s York Bootham was a very prestigious area in which to live, with lots of parkland to the north, south and west. Before King Henry's dissolution of the monasteries both Bootham and St Mary’s - the street where our bed and breakfast accommodation is situated - was part of St Mary’s Abbey. York is one of the richest historical cities in the UK. The ruins of the Abbey can still be seen in the York Museum Gardens. Our bed and breakfast accommodation is well situated for all the York attractions and for touring the northern areas of the UK. We do hope that your visit to our bed and breakfast accommodation will be comfortable and enjoyable, and that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to the UK and to York itself.

Bed and breakfast accommodation is ideal for exploring both York itself, and surrounding towns of interest such as Harrogate, Malton, Tadcaster, Ripon, Wetherby, Boroughbridge, Selby and Knaresborough. Or local attractions such as the stunning York Minster, Castle Howard, York Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
